Absorbent Glass Mat (AGM) are like wet cell batteries, and designed for high demands. The battery is constructed to be airtight which allows for the internal recombination of oxygen and hydrogen, and ensures that, but instead of having a free-floating electrolyte, even if the battery case is damaged, high performing, it is bound in a special glass fiber separator. This makes the battery leak-proof, meaning there is minimal water loss.
